V roce 2013 vtrhli vládní agenti do domu Ranie, úspěšné zubařky a matky šesti dětí, a ji i její rodinu unesli pryč. Čin nikdy nebyl zdůvodněn. Celá rodina je od té doby nezvěstná.

velice mě znepokojuje případ Ranie, která v březnu 2013 byla unesena vládními agenty i s šesti dětmi a o nikom z nich dodnes nejsou žádné zprávy. Čin nikdy nebyl zdůvodněn a syrské úřady odmítly poskytnout příbuzným Ranie jakékoli informace o tom, kde se nyní rodina nachází.
Žádám Vás o to, abyste odhalily, kde se Rania a její děti nacházejí, okamžitě všechny děti propustily, a buď obvinily Raniu ze skutečného trestného činu, nebo ji osvobodily.

Dear Mr. President,
I am very concerned about the case of Rania and her six young children who were taken from their home by government agents in March 2013 and have not been seen or heard of since. No reason for their arrest was given at the time and Syrian authorities have given no information about their well-being or whereabouts.
I urge you to reveal the fate and whereabouts of Rania Alabbasi and her children, release Rania’s six children unconditionally and either release Rania or charge her of an internationally recognizable offense and try her in line with international fair trial standards.
